Kickboxing sparring utilising rule sets such as those found on Glory Kickboxing, ONE Championship or Bellator means you have to ensure countering low kicks is part of your skill set. A lot of Muay Thai fighters like to counter like for like i.e. countering kicks with kicks. Whereas because of the higher emphasis on striking volume in Kickboxing, countering low kicks using boxing can be an even more effective strategy to implement.
The featured coach is hugely renowned Canadian instructor and co-head coach of WKX in Vancouver Jay Jauncey. Well regarded for his training methods and ability to implement effective strategies for his fighters within the ring, Jay is most often seen in the corner of his brother, uber striking talent and Glory Kickboxing signed fighter Josh Jauncey.
