Barry’s Volumes

Barry Robinson began his journey in Boxing as an 11-year-old in New York city over 2 decades ago.  By his own account, he hated it at first.  Basketball at that point was his primary passion.  In 2001 though, following watching the very one-sided Mayweather Vs Coralles fight with his father, he was inspired to get back into training.  Finding himself at the world famous Gleasons gym in NYC, he got back onto the amateur fight scene.  After several national level golden glove tournament fights, he wanted to mix his training up and moved to a different gym.

Unfortunately, though, after a while his new coach one day stopped turning up.  Barry thus ended up stepping into his shoes and began leading all the training sessions himself from that point on.

This transition to full time coach led Barry from coaching primarily fitness-based Boxing sessions around New York, to moving overseas to concentrate entirely on working with athletes and fighters.

From here, he used his previous experience serving in the armed forces to start to systemise his whole approach to coaching Boxing.  Taking his ‘A million styles boxing’ system to different countries, he began to train not only elite level boxers but also world champion Kickboxers, Muay Thai and MMA fighters.

He has worked with an unparalleled amount of world class combat sports athletes including the likes of Fedor Emelianenko, Gökhan Saki, Andy Souwer, Dan Hooker, Lawrence Okolie and Sittichai Sitsongpeenong to name but a few.
