  • Ivan Hippolyte, aka "The Hydro," is a Surinamese-Dutch former kickboxer and Muay Thai World Champion known for blending the two styles. Born in 1964, he currently chairs and coaches at Amsterdam's Vos Gym. Ivan has trained with K-1 World champion Ernesto Hoost and MMA veteran Gilbert Yvel, producing elite fighters like Mohamed 'Mootje' Khamal, Remy Bonjasky, and Mirko Filipović. His technical, aggressive coaching style has yielded in-demand fighters globally. Ivan's titles include the K-3 Grand Prix '95 Champion, W.M.T.C. Middleweight World Champion, and four-time E.M.T.A. Born on October 7, 1964, Ivan is currently the chairman and coach at the world-famous Vos Gym in Amsterdam, succeeding founder Jan Plas. He is a former sparring partner and teammate of four-time K-1 World champion Ernesto Hoost and veteran mixed martial artist Gilbert Yvel.
